Tricia and Bob Traugott helped us do what would be considered ridiculous 10 years ago-- bought a house without actually visiting it in person. Let me explain.... we are retired military/ Dept of Defense civilians who lived in Europe and Asia for the last 13 years, and it finally became time for us to return to the continental US. Our timeline did not enable us to make a house hunting trip to C'ville before our move date. So, we did extensive research on Zillow, and the county website, and contacted Tricia and Bob. They leapt at the challenge. We had a list, and Tricia would visit the houses we were considering in the Morning (evening in Germany) using FaceTime to show us virtually what was right and wrong about the various houses we were considering. We finally chose the one that best meet our needs and are very happy with the results. She referred us to a great inspector who found things that needed to get done which gave us more confidence, and the closing date, which relied on Powers of Attorney, went smoothly. This was a unique and challenging house purchase and move, and while seeing the houses in person is the ideal, it just couldn't happen in our case. Two things enabled us to do this with confidence -- modern technology and a professional, committed real estate agent who gave us honest assessments, showed ultimate flexibility, and was there every step of the way.

Tricia was proactive in getting to know us and our needs/priorities, energetic about finding new properties to look at, and very patient with us as we made changes to our list of wants and needs. She has impressive knowledge of the Charlottesville area and was very honest with us about the pros and cons of each neighborhood and house that we looked at. At no point did I worry that she was putting a commission over our happiness and satisfaction. Even after the transaction was complete, she has been phenomenally helpful with making our transition more smooth, helping us navigate the many utilities, property maintenance, etc. I would absolutely recommend Tricia to anyone in need of a realtor.

Tricia is the best!! We found out we had to move down to Charlottesville over a year before we were ready to buy. She was put up with us for that long, and she emailed us new house listings the entire time. When the time came to buy a house Tricia and Bob (her partner in crime) were so wonderful. Took us through all the houses, helped us with what we needed to look for (since we didn’t know much). When we decided on a house to buy, the owners had no Real Estate Agent, and they really went above and beyond helping the current owner and us through the whole process. Not only do they do an amazing job, but Tricia and Bob are so personable and friendly. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks for all you do Tricia!!
